Behavioral Therapy of Dogs and Cats

On-site classes

About me

My name is Greg and I am a trainer and certified behaviorist (COAPE – Centre of Applied Pet Ethology) of companion animals.

The consultations I conduct are based on a holistic approach, where a thorough interview is the basis for further work. Working with me means that you will increase your understanding of the needs of your dog or cat, understanding how you can improve it’s wellbeing and raise it into a healthy, balanced family member. The training itself is just one of many pieces of the puzzle.

I support dog and cat owners, mainly in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

Ethics and the role of a Behaviorist

Individual Consulting

Action plan is individually tailored to the needs of your dog and yours. Before the meeting, you will receive a questionnaire to complete, which we will focus on, together during the meeting. For me, the most important factor, is your understanding of the basis of the behavior, what the root cause is, and what your dog wants to tell you.

Therefore, we will devote a large part of the time to breaking down each behavior into it’s parts: from the functioning of the nervous system and neurotransmitters, through the ecology of animal behavior, the hunting chain, typology and emotional systems.

Education and building the "awarness"

The aim of my work is to increase people’s awareness of the emotions experienced by dogs, what wellbeing means for dogs and how to improve it, and why it is so important to understand the dog’s needs in order to meet them.

Choosing the right breed
and character

By choosing a dog, you not only change your life, but you also change the life of this animal. This is a great responsibility, so I will help you to be prepared for what’s coming.

One of the most important goals is to understand and adequately meet the needs of your pet. Cooperation with me will allow you to find the right breed for your character, in terms of activity, care, training, and individual needs. I will also help you understand the needs of a shelter dog and teach you how to create ideal living conditions for your new family member.

Clear communication is essential for proper interactions between human and a dog. It is important that each household member participates in the consultation to clarify all issues together, debunk myths and establish an action plan, involving and activating the entire family.

Think on what are your pet’s favorite toys. Have your dog’s favorite treats ready.

Think about what you want to achieve during the consultation. What behaviors are incomprehensible or difficult to understand for you? What behaviors do you want to introduce in return – i.e. how do you want your dog to behave? During the consultation, we will verify whether your goals are realistic and measurable and determine specific actions.
